Cambridgeshire

VoiceAbility CambridgeshireIn Cambridgeshire, it is estimated that 68,600 people have some kind of disability or impairment. There may be around 3,000 adult service users across the area and 2,700 young people with special educational needs.

We are pleased to be able to offer advocacy and self advocacy services to many of these people, with our teams working with both adults and young people across the region.

We offer advocacy and involvement services to a wide range of people, including:

Adults

  • Individuals with a learning disability
  • Individuals with a mental health illness
  • Individuals with physical or sensory disabilities
  • Parents with a learning disability

Young People

  • Individuals with a learning disability
  • Individuals with a mental health illness
  • Individuals with physical or sensory disabilities
  • Families where one or more members of the family has a learning disability
  • Individuals and groups without disabilities

AaronWe also work with different organisations across Cambridgeshire to make sure that we can advise people on what is out there and accessible to them.  For example, did you know that you can borrow equipment from Cambridgeshire County Council which would make going away on short breaks with disabled people easier?

You can download the catalogue of equipment, most of which is free to borrow, here.
