Service User Involvement

If you are an adult living in Wakefield and have a learning disability, you can get your voice heard by decision makers in the council. We support the co-chair and members of the Learning Disability Partnership Board in their role and facilitate self advocacy groups across the area.

Self Advocacy

We want the services in Wakefield to be influenced by the people who use them.

We provide support to self advocacy groups across Wakefield for people with learning disabilities, with a view to becoming self sustaining.

We also support the Learning Disabilities Partnership Board (LDPB) representatives in their role on the board.

Wakefield Autism Voice for Everyone (WAVE)

WAVE is a service user led discussion group, for adults on the autistic spectrum to talk about issues, share life experiences and meet new friends.

We meet in the centre of Wakefield every two weeks.

If you would like to come along, please contact Total Voice on 01924 688032 or email wakefield@voiceability.org
