Example: Autism Audit We were invited into a workplace to create a low stimulus environment to answer the needs of employees with Autistic Spectrum Disorder – employees who can find noise clutter and other sensory stimulation distracting or even frightening. While it was not possible to change the whole environment, we worked with the organisation to put procedures in place in order to support autistic employees better, advised on décor and the office arrangement, and helped them adapt a room to be used as a breakout space. These changes significantly reduced the number of incidents in the workplace. |
