Working groups
Staying Safe Working Group
This is jointly facilitated by VoiceAbility and Just Lincolnshire.
The group shares information with people with a learning disability to let them know how to keep safe in many different ways of life.
We provide training with the police and other services on what it means to have a learning disability
We also produce easy read information on keeping safe.
Healthy Lifestyle Working Group
This group makes sure that people with a learning disability:
- know how to get an annual health check
- find out information to help keep you healthy
- support with the training of health care staff
Communication Working Group
This group works with professionals to help them understand how best to communicate with someone with a learning disability. This might include things like helping with easy read documents such as surveys, and reviewing policies.
We also produce our own newsletter as well as making films about things that are important to us.
Voices For All
Voices For All is the Lincolnshire Learning Disability Partnership quarterly meeting.
Every three months people with a learning disability and professionals meet and work together to make sure people have a say about council and health services.
It promotes people with a learning disability having a voice and includes everyone in planning services.
Information is shared about what is going on around Lincolnshire and how people can get involved.
The meeting is chaired by the Speak Out Leaders and has different themes such as how to keep healthy or safe or help to find a job. It is somewhere people are asked to share their views and give feedback on services.
