Volunteering in Camden

Could you spare up to two hours a week to support others going through a difficult time? Are you a good listener?

Peer mentors use their own lived experiences of mental health conditions to support someone else to achieve positive changes in their lives. Mentors are taught to empower mentees using a person-centred approach and effectively draw on their own experience to listen to their mentees and help them to explore options and make their own decisions.

I started volunteering because I felt that no one should have to go through mental health difficulties alone.

Daniel, Peer Mentor
