NICE guidelines for learning disabilities and behaviour that challenges: consultation open
NICE, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence, is inviting responses to new draft guidelines that aim to improve service design and delivery for those with learning disabilities and behaviour that challenges.
The guidelines are developed for use by healthcare professionals, commissioners and providers in health and social care. The consultation on the draft is a chance for all stakeholders and others with an interest in this guidance to comment and feed back into the decision-making process.
Voiceability’s Chief Executive, Jonathan Senker, is chair of the NICE Guideline Development Group that has been developing the guidelines over the past two years, based on the best available evidence.
The consultation is open until 20 November 2017. The final publication of the guidelines is expected in March 2018.
To read the draft guidance and submit a response, visit the consultation page on the NICE website.
