Total Voice Cambridgeshire and Peterborough
Total Voice is the collective name for a range of advocacy and community services. By offering lots of different options, it means that you can contact the service and be supported straight away to find the right service for you.
Because we make it so easy to get the right service, we know that more people will get the support they need to make positive changes to their lives. And fewer people will be alone when making major decisions about their care and support.
The Total Voice service provides:
A dedicated helpline
If you want information about the different services. The advocates will provide you with self-help materials as well as help to make contact with other local support services available.
Face to face advocacy for eligible people, provided by advocates with specialist training in relevant law, care and support processes and working with people with communications needs.
The Total Voice Partners
VoiceAbility is an advocacy charity that supports people who face disadvantage or discrimination to have a voice that count.
Our vision is of a society in which everyone’s voice, rights and choices are heard, understood and respected.
VoiceAbility has been working in Cambridgeshire since 1994 (as Speaking Up) and we are proud of what has been achieved in the area, both by our staff and by the people who use our services. We are excited about the opportunity that the new collaborative advocacy service gives us to support both individuals and community organisations to ensure more people will be empowered to express their views and have their rights respected.
Cambridgeshire Deaf Association
The Cambridgeshire Deaf Association (CDA) has represented the interests of Deaf people in the local community for over 90 years. In that time CDA has developed a unique understanding of the changing needs of the deaf community in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. We have developed the trust, knowledge, skills and people to meet those unique needs with professionalism, efficiency and understanding.
Our Managing Professional Advocate is a BSL level 6 sign language user and has ten-years’ experience working within the deaf community. We’re committed to training new advocates to support the service and we’re qualified to deliver Care Act and IMCA advocacy. We’ve always put deaf people at the heart of what we do – contact us to find out more.
