Total Voice: Volunteering Opportunities
Do you have personal experience or a strong interest in disability, mental health or related rights issues? Then we would love to hear from you!
Join us as a volunteer and help people with care and support needs to have their views heard, be in control and understand their rights.
What would volunteering involve?
We have a variety of volunteering activities to fit around your other commitments. We can help you to identify the best activities for you.
All our Volunteers will get in-house training, shadowing and support from our advocacy service.
There are three main activities you can get involved in.
Hospital Volunteering – Give light touch support and signposting to people in a mental health unit. Great if you want to support people to understand their rights when it really matters.
Outreach Volunteering – Help us provide more help to people in the community. Ideal if you enjoy visiting different places and chatting to people about their issues or supporting them to be heard.
Support Session Volunteering – Provide on-site support with a range of activities, including one to one light support, making documents accessible and signposting. Best if you have a range of experiences within the health or social care system – and you want to help others through it.
