Volunteering

Help us to support everyone to have a voice that counts. As a volunteer, you could spread the word about our services, use your lived experience to support someone through a tough time, or play a crucial role in making our service more accessible.

You can volunteer as little, or as much as you want. Some of the roles will require a greater level of commitment than others and we can talk through the roles and your own availability when you contact us.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please browse the volunteer roles and then complete the application form and equality form below. Once completed, return them to us. Our contact details are at the top, and the bottom, of this page. We're looking forward to hearing from you!

What would volunteering involve?

We have a range of opportunities:

Peer Mentor

Use your lived experience of either social services personally or through a family member to support someone through a tough time.

Peer Group Partner

Help service users with a hidden voice to ensure our services are accessible for others.

Feedback coordinator – Survey Maker

Help to gather people using our services through helping to write accessible documents for disadvantage voices.

Feedback Coordinator – Focus Group Facilitator

You will be talking to small groups with different needs to help us build better and more accessible services.

Feedback Coordinator – Data Checker

You will process information from the Feedback Coordinator to build a better more accessible service.

Community Messenger

To raise awareness of our service through social networking, emailing, leafleting and putting up posters.

Community Networkers

To raise awareness of our services in Doncaster through running stalls and telling others about advocacy.
