Help with staying safe
Our resources can help you stay safe, spot abuse and find support if you are worried.

Learn to spot potential abuse
Our videos show different situations that could indicate abuse.
The actors in the videos were all members of the VoiceAbility Learning Disability Parliament, which has now evolved to become the Speak Out Council. The video production was supported by Granta Housing, the Open Out scheme and Cambridgeshire County Council Adult Safeguarding Team.

How to stay safe from domestic abuse
Easy Read leaflet, for adults with learning disabilities and their friends and families, explains how to stay safe from domestic abuse.
The leaflet was written following research by the Speak Out Council and was prepared in collaboration with Speak Out Council’s members.

Support if you have experienced sexual abuse
If you have gone through sexual abuse, our Easy Read booklet can help you understand what has happened, and work out how you feel.
We worked with Cambridgeshire’s Domestic Abuse & Sexual Violence Partnership to create this booklet. This booklet was commissioned following concerns highlighted by Rape Crisis and raised by members of Speak Out Council.
