More about the service

This service means that people detained under the Mental Health Act in secure settings will now have access to specialist advocacy support. Forensic IMHAs help individuals understand their rights, express their views, and take an active role in decisions about their care and treatment, especially where complex legal and clinical processes are involved.

Our advocacy services are always free, independent, and confidential. We’re here to ensure your voice is heard and your rights are respected.
