Volunteering
Make a difference in your local community, and help us to support everyone to have a voice that counts.
As a volunteer, you could help people know more about our services, use your lived experience to support someone, or play a crucial role in making our service more accessible.
After years of volunteering, I feel that there is no better thing to do than help someone through challenging times.
What do we look for in our volunteers?
Volunteers with VoiceAbility often have a personal interest in disability, mental health, human rights or social care, but this is not a requirement. We care more about the values you share with us than your experience or skills.
Some roles will require more commitment than others. When you complete the form to get in touch, we can talk through the roles and your own availability together. You’ll need to be able to commit to volunteering for at least 6 months.
Volunteering opportunities are available Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm. You need to have the right to work in the UK, and be living in the UK. For most roles, you also need to be over 18 years old.
