You don’t push me into choices. I can talk to you.
An advocate is an independent professional who is on your side. They can support you to have your say and know your rights. Advocates don’t work for the council, the NHS, or care providers. You don’t have to pay for an advocate and we can provide support over the phone, over a video call or in person.
In some areas of the country, we can also help with other kinds of issues that you need sorted out in order to leave hospital.
You don’t have to pay for an advocate but there are rules about who can get an advocate and when. To find out if you can get an advocate, talk to your healthcare professional or contact us.
