Staying Safe Working Group
The Staying Safe work group supports the Learning Disability Partnership. This work group is facilitated by Just Lincolnshire and supported by VoiceAbility. The group works with different people in Lincolnshire such as the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion team at Lincolnshire Police.
The group aims to:
- Promote awareness of what it is like for people with a learning disability to different services
- Lets different service know how things could work better to keep people safe and part of their community.
- Share information around Lincolnshire County about services that help to keep them safe and promote good wellbeing.
- Helps people to have their say and get involved.
Healthy Lifestyle work group
The Healthy Lifestyle group is part of Lincolnshire Learning Disability Partnership and works with different health professionals to improve services.
The group aims to:
- Look at everything to do with keeping healthy and what changes need to be made.
- Let people know how important it is to have an annual health check.
- Work with different health professionals to improve the services they provide.
- Promote reasonable adjustments.
- Help people who use services to have their say and get involved.
Communication Working Group
This group works with professionals to help them understand how best to communicate with someone with a learning disability. This might include things like helping with easy read documents such as surveys, and reviewing policies.
We also produce our own newsletter as well as making films about things that are important to us.
Voices For All
Voices For All is the Lincolnshire Learning Disability Partnership quarterly meeting. Every three months people with a learning disability and professionals meet and work together to make sure people have a say about council and health services. The meeting is chaired by the Speak Out Leaders and has different themes such as how to keep healthy or safe or help to find a job.
The meeting aims to:
- Promote people with a learning disability having a voice and includes everyone in planning services.
- Gather people’s views and feedback on services.
- Share information about what is going on around Lincolnshire and how people can get involved.
